Who Am I?

About Me

Husband, Father, Cybersecurity Advocate, and Cloud Enthusiast. Each day – be it at home or in the workspace - I strive to become a better person today than I was yesterday. I am a dedicated IT professional working to become the best that I can be and provide a wholesome life for my family.

I currently work for Business Credit Reports, Inc. as the Technical Director and Information Security Officer. Working at a small company has taught me to diversify my learning and to be agile in shifting priorities according to business needs. I have constantly pushed my limits here, and am always asking the question, ‘How can we improve X?’ or ‘What can I do better today?’ I have made numerous improvements to the organization during my time of being here ranging from the creation of Standard Operating Procedures to the full-scale design and implementation of the entire cybersecurity program.

At 27, I still have many things to learn, and by no means whatsoever do I consider myself to be the know-it-all of the industry. I do, however, pride myself in being resourceful and willing to learn whatever it takes to be successful in my career. As we all know, the cybersecurity landscape changes frequently – much more so than most industries. Thus, as a professional in this industry, to become truly successful we must dedicate our lives to remaining vigilant and constantly study these changes.

In my free time when I am not studying for my next certification, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, playing music, and finding various ways to improve my current skills. I have played guitar for around 15 years, was in drumline during high school, and have been a vocalist for various projects during that timeframe as well. In my younger days, I thoroughly enjoyed running and plan to get back to it one day. For those interested, my best mile run was completed in 4:35. Just 3 seconds shy of my high school’s record! I have many other personal achievements that I have accomplished throughout the years but dedicate it all to my mentality. Whenever I set a goal, I continually push my limits until I have accomplished that task – No matter the roadblocks incurred along the way.
